It's Spring!

I never thought we'd get here, but it's spring!  I couldn't resist these daffodils.  I've been admiring them every day while they soak up the sun.

50 Shades of Lavender is finished and bound!

I really like the backing fabric too, it makes it reversible.

Coco looks totally confused watching us (check out all that greenish stuff, I haven't seen it in 3 months.)

Aaahhh, this is better.

The painters are coming back on Monday to do the bedrooms and baths.  I can't wait to live with something other than white.

Fun For Friday - Cookbooks with a sense of humor

These two were gifts given to my husband.  My son and his girlfriend really get this guy.

My daughter got this one for Christmas.  Check out the author's name, lol.

What would Betty Crocker or Julia say?

The quilt turned out great, the quilting looks perfect, the picture really show it off.
My daffodils are only about 3 inches high along way from blooming.
The cookbooks are so funny. Have you made anything from them yet?

Happy Spring!! I love your daffodils and the vase they're in. 50 shades of lavender looks wonderful, and you're right that the back is fun too. Those cook books looks like they're full of tasty dishes!! Fowler -lol !

50 shades of lavender looks amazing and the backing is wonderful, too! One of your specialties - perfect backing fabric. I believe Julia would share one of her hearty chuckles over the 50 Shades of Chicken. Thanks for the morning laugh! We don't have daffodils in S Louisiana, but the azaleas are popping out all over!

I love that Spring is actually here--or so they say! I also really like your header--a lot! hugs, Julierose

50 Shades of Lavender definitely brings the feeling of spring right inside. I like how your photo shows off all that beautiful quilting. Enjoy the warmer days!

Wow, I love that vase you are using for the daffodils. Beautiful!
The quilt is delightful--very fresh and pretty. And the backing is a wonderful look, too. Two for the work of one--love it! : )
Oh, some people are so clever. Those cookbooks made me giggle. I hope DH never discovers that bacon one!!

Haha -- I think Betty and Julia would be appalled at Fifty Shades LOL -- is it x-rated in those pages??? Hanna looks adorable (and very happy I might add) with her new quilt!!!

Your quilt turned out great. I love the quilting. Good job doing it all by yourself on your home machine. Coco has good taste. It looks wonderful on the bed. Isn't it wonderful - SPRING! Have a great weekend.

I think Julia would get it but Betty probably would not. I have a niece that would probably love a quilt like that. I bet it was fun to make.

Great vase for your daffodils--I can't help but admire it! Your quilt turned out wonderfully with all that lovely texture from the stitching! Cookbooks are getting more and more interesting aren't they? So glad we have more to choose from than the classics.:)

Beautiful finish - love, just love, the quilting! It looks totally vintage in the best way. The vase is delightful and perfect for the freshest daffodils. Daffodils are Spring! My son gets cravings for bacon - definitely not showing him that book :)

50 shades looks sooo beautiful. Coco does indeed look a bit confused. It does seem strange to see grass. Not that my grass looks good, but you can see it. :) That last cookbook cracks me up.

What a beautiful quilt and Coco obviously thinks so too. I love the titles of the recipe books, but is that last one as racy as it's namesake?

Daffodils are one of my favorite flowers - they just scream SPRING IS HERE!! And I love the vase you have them in - I've never seen one like it. Your quilt is really pretty - looks like Spring too! And you know it's a good one when it's Coco approved! My husband would love both of those cookbooks. Has yours ever made bacon explosion? My DH loves it, I think it's disgusting! :)

50 Shades of Lavender is so pretty... love your quilting! Great backing fabric too!
What are cookbooks? (I know what they are, but I do my best to avoid them...)

Fun cookbooks. Have you done a bacon weave yet?
Congratulations on fun finish.
Happy Spring!

Beautiful quilt--and look forward to seeing how the rooms change with all the painting. I could eat bacon 24/7 and then I'd look like the animal that it came from (so I indulge very little, but still love love it). Fun cookbooks, for sure.
