On With The Show, This is It....

Good Morning!

It's been a busy, busy week. We had quilt take in last Saturday, judging on Wednesday, Set up on Thursday and the Show is finally opening today!

It's such a tremendous feeling of accomplishment to open a show that you have been planning for months. I worked with some of the smartest, nicest and most creative women.

I don't want to publish spoilers this morning. I will only post on this quilt, my Supercalifragilisticexpialidocous. How nice, it won a first place in the bed applique' category.

And here is my baby: the mini quilt auction. I've been collecting and photographing quilts, runners and purses for about 1 year. The antique doll bed and quilt are coming today, so I'll photograph it for the next post. We have a total of 130 pieces, which will be in 5 groups of auctions.

My table is getting skirted this morning.

This is our beautiful raffle quilt. The raffle is tomorrow at 4:30 pm. Contrary to the signage, it does not come with salad bar.

Here is a link to our new website, which is a work in progress: Brownstone Quilters.

I know I've said it before, but if you have a chance to come, please do. We have food, and over 700 door prizes and a wonderful array of quilts.

  1. Fabulous! Always look forward to your posts. Such an inspiration!! Congratulations on your well deserved blue ribbon. I have made the decision. Today is the day I order the Kaffe Fassett book and start on my applique quilt. How I wish I could attend the quilt show, and that raffle quilt -- absolutely jaw dropping. Have a fun day. Look forward to more of your fantastic pictures. Thanks so much for sharing.
