Congratulations Carol, from Texas, who won a box of scraps. Please send me your home address and I'll ship them out this week.
Chris offered to pass some along if she won, so I'm sending her a package of scraps too!
Thanks for your input on the binding issue, I'm gratified to know it's not just me. I had many anonymous commenters and some several non-reply bloggers. This is how they make me feel~
I send a quick note to everyone who comments, so if you didn't get an email it is because YOU are a non-reply blogger. You can fix that by going here to Lori's great post on identifying and fixing that.
Yay! Friday I caught up on my Stars in a Time Warp. I'm so glad that I did this sew along. I've learned so much about fabric styles and it's been fun to be part of a big sew along.
Provincial Print - I couldn't help including the French Rooster conversation print.
Sprigged Muslin two ways
Coral Print with a little nautical anchor shirting.
Early Roller Print with another sprigged muslin.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my US readers!
It's pretty much all things Christmas around here and I'll be doing some Chritmassy posts soon!
I,too, want to make a churn dash quilt. It looks really great with fans!
ReplyDeleteGreat stars - love the rooster conversation print! I'm so glad you convinced me to go the 4" route - we are going to have some wonderful quilts. I will be watching with interest if you start making churn dash blocks - it would be a fun quilt along! Hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteLovely stars. You aren't wasting any time getting going on the Christmas holidays! Woop! Woop! Hopefully I'll be starting next weekend.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the winners !
ReplyDeleteI definitively love your pretty stars !! :)
I wish you a nice weekend !!
Xoxo
Barbara B's stars have been a great way to look at our repros with a better historical eye. Your stars are lovely in their tinier size. Christmas is coming early to my house too, but in the mean time have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteThe stars are perfect, your stash was made for that sew along! I want to make that churn dash quilt too! Looking forward to your Christmas posts. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your star blocks and that fun rooster print! Sometimes, I spend way too much time keeping up with blogs. But, there are the ones ,like yours, that keep me so inspired! Would love to quilt a Baptists fan pattern- perhaps someday! Thanks, Barb, and Happy Thanksgiving. :)
ReplyDeleteYour stars are gorgeous! Lovin' those prints.:)
ReplyDeleteLove the stars. How do you mark your fan quilting? It is one of my favourite patterns.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the winner! I love seeing your stars. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for having the giveaway of scraps!! I agree that your stash is made for these stars. I need a quilt with baptist fans quilting. It is an older design, so I tend to forget it---but has such a great design quality---makes you want to curl up with the quilt.
ReplyDeleteGood job keeping up on your stars.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your Christmas posts!
Oh yay! I LOVE scraps! Scrap quilts are my absolute favorite ! Nice churn dash with Baptist fans - sometimes simple is best. Hoping that you and yours have a Happy Thanksgiving !
ReplyDeleteLove your stars, especially your rooster print- it's perfect! I hope to get my star block update posted today. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the winner, someone else's scraps are so inviting!
ReplyDeleteI love your stars and think they will make a wonderful quilt.
I agree about the no reply commenters. So many times I want to respond but there is no way to figure out who they are!
Your stars look great! I really like the Early Roller Print :) Lovely Churn Dash quilt, too. Would be a fun one to make. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteYour stars are stellar! I really LOVE that Provincial red print. Yum!
ReplyDeleteHaha -- I laughed as I scrolled through your comments and saw the question about how you mark your fan quilts -- with your templates, of course! I have a churn dash with fan quilting that I love and I'm hoarding your giant template to someday make another one! Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the way you repeated the types of fabric in each star as you showed us. I too, have learned a vast amount with this series. Have probably read it all before but this time in small does much more stuck in my memory
