We had a little weekend getaway to the Adirondacks last weekend and I did a little early morning stitching in a real log cabin.
Making new friends has been an unexpected and wonderful benefit of being a blogger. I recently met Jackie from England who wrote me and suggested we meet for coffee during her US trip.

Thank you, Rondi for a surprise package with this fabulous little quilt complete with toile' and HAND fan quilting. I just love it.
Swap Update:
I'm still waiting for some packages. As soon as they are all received I'll be swapping and mailing out the swap.

A Copycat recipe for Panera's Squash Soup. It's really good! Here is a link to the recipe. I cut the heavy cream and the cream cheese and added a little more brown sugar. MMmmmm autumn..........

I hand stitch in the early morning too, but not by lantern. Nice picture! You received some very nice gifts! I love the trees in fall - looks like a lovely drive! The recipe looks good - I printed it out - love soup in fall and winter.

ReplyDeleteI was in the ADK last weekend. We stayed in Old Forge, NY. The View museum had a quilt show opening, Quilts Unlimited on Friday. I also bought fabric at the Crazy Moose in Inlet.- good thing- they were closing on Sunday. I have to get my photos up on my blog. Can't wait for the swap blocks.

My husband thought I was crazy to invite someone I had never met (Randy, Barrister's Block AND her husband!) to stay over night at our house. We had a ball! And to have her go to VT with us was really special. Glad to hear your visit was as pleasant. Happy Halloween!

ReplyDeleteI'm finishing my BowTies as a baby quilt for a new granddaughter (due 1/2017) and working on the center panel for the broken dishes blocks to act as boarder. Will share pics when closer to finish.
