Here is my Best in Show - YoYo City
I think it is so creative and lively and fun!
They had a Red & White challenge exhibit inspired by the Infinite Variety show in NYC in 2011.
Well done!!
Isn't this clever! It worked, but not on my phone.
This was another favorite feature of the show for me.
This was my top pick - A dress (address, love word play)
This was the big winner - Congratulations Bethany! Her work is always visually stunning and her workmanship is perfection.
I loved the way this quilter did a different design in each area of the quilt. This one is bamboo.
And my favorite the horse and horse fencing - so creative~
I tip my hat to Steven, who worked on this appliqué quilt on the train!
Hope you enjoyed the show! See anything that inspires you?
It does look like a great show!! Love their mini r&w exhibit!!
ReplyDeleteWOW! I can see why the star won, it's stunning!

ReplyDeletethank you for sharing them. i think the one that i wanted to look at the longest was the red and white that was lent by carol auer. i really liked the use of so many fabrics coming together smoothly to make a stunning 'whole' and that appliqued border was wonderful~!

ReplyDeleteBarb!
What great quilts! I especially liked the red and white exhibit. My guild is doing a red and white challenge -2 weeks until we share them and I hope mine will be done!
ReplyDeleteAmazing quilts, thanks so much for taking the time to do this post, it was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThe yo yo quilt is an Anne Sutton of Bunny Hill fame pattern. I always thought the designer was to be given credit when used in a show quilt.
ReplyDeleteDid you notice if that was done while there?
That has been a great show for many years, so good in fact the crowds are nearly as large as at a national show. You are right they do a terrific job! Thanks for sharing these beautiful quilts.
Happy sewing
Wow! Amazing show. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine doing that applique on a commuter train. Must be a smoother and less crowded ride than I picture.
ReplyDeleteThe big Lone Star style quilt is beautiful. Everything looks so precise.
Thanks for the "show & tell".
ReplyDeleteI have no way to scan the little red & white - what happens when you do?
Quilters are so creative - thanks again for sharing.

Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just
ReplyDeleteyour articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything.
Nevertheless think of if you added some great graphics or videos to give your posts more,
"pop"! Your content is excellent but with images and clips,
this website could certainly be one of the very best in its field.
Wonderful blog!
