Here it is after several Birthdays and Christmas':
This one represents all the things most important to me. It was my "Governing Values" bracelet. My favorite charm is this locket behind the "Chicago" charm. It was my mother's baby locket and it has her teeth marks on it from putting it in her mouth and biting it.
Here is one I received as a gift from my friend, Mary Pat, for my 50th Birthday this year. It is made of vintage buttons.
This one is from the Vatican Library. It is made of little replicas of treasures of the Vatican. I wear it when I need grace and when I'm flying.
This one is from Turkey. It from St. Mary's Chapel - another good luck charm bracelet.
Here is a silver one I started for fun. It has a lots of funny charms on it like an iron, muffin tin, wine bottle, bird house. This one is quite jingly and fun to wear. I love the children's head charms.
This is a charm necklace. It is special because my 3 best friends have the exact same necklace so I feel close to them when I wear it.
Lastly here is one that I bought at a quilt show - I love the S&H green stamp charm.
Some day I would love to start a vintage U.S. State charm bracelets with all the states I have visited......Some day......
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

ReplyDeleteLove all your charms! The S&H one is so cool.....I remember saving the stamps to buy things as a kid. You got them when you bought gas and put them in a book.

ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! I always envied those girls in school with the charm bracelets--and now you're that girl! :)
ReplyDeleteI have mine from Junior High andc a couple of years ago my sister made me one. I love them both.
ReplyDeleteYours are awesome. So cool that you have a collection of bracelets with different 'themes' .
Okay, I see lots of fun charms but my friend, where is your man Abe?
ReplyDeleteBarb I have a gold one like yours it has gotten too heavy so I no longer wear it.
ReplyDeleteYou collect such interesting things. Charm bracelets always made too much noise for me when I wore one but they still interest me. I am sorry I sold a special one. Many moons ago, the local bank sold charms that represented buildings, etc. in the town I lived in. If you deposited a certain amount into savings, you could purchase a sterling charm. I couldn't afford to put the money into savings at the time so my mother would make the purchase each time she got her pay check and put money into savings. I sold it at a flea market for not much money. Such a silly thing to have done. That was over 40 years ago.
ReplyDeleteGreat post - really love your charm collection. Hope to have a charm necklace in my future!
ReplyDeleteyour mother's baby locket~!~with teeth marks, no less~!!~
ReplyDeletethese are all really fun and so full of memories.
