Spring? Where?

My son said today "mom, if you build it; it will come"....Spring that is.  I sure hope so.
It's a Miracle!!!  Paper Pieces now offers circle papers for making berries.  Seriously how did I not think of this?  I've been cutting my own for over 20 years.  Now I have to fix my tutorial and start with "order circles..."
They work perfectly and I'm super thrilled.  They come in many sizes, find then at Paper Pieces.
Today I did a little Easter decorating.
My vintage postcard collection and family egg collection.
Bunnies and eggs are always a cheerful harbinger of spring.
Mr. Starbuck spent several hours looking for spring today too.
I'll be presenting a Lecture and Trunk Show Monday, April 2nd at The Shoreline Quilters Guild right here in Branford, CT.

Have a great week!

  6. So fun to know about the circles--I've been cutting my own, too, although I use the Perfect Circles a lot, shaping them before I put them on the quilt. Your Easter decorating is so terrific! Wish I'd decorated a little more. Good luck with your trunk show--they are lucky folks, who get to listen to you.

  9. Your quilt looks beautiful. It shouts spring along with all of your wonderful decorations. Precut circles? I'm in! I do like the Perfect Circles by Karen Kay Buckley, but these could come in very handy. Thanks for the heads up.

  12. I'm sorry..we've been hogging all of spring down here! HAHA 70's and 80's for awhile now. Supposed to get chilly on Easter Sunday (66, boo hiss). I'm so mean..sorry. Happy Easter!!

  13. I am thrilled to know about the paper circles. I also learned recently that the paper punches come in more sizes than previously available but those paper punches are not inexpensive.

  14. Love the decorations but isn’t Mr. Starbuck tempted to swat those eggs off the hutch? I know that’s the first thing Luna would do! Then again, your cat is probably a lot nicer than Luna.
Those circles are perfect. Seriously, why did it takes so long for them to make those?

  19. Wow--you have quite the bunny collection--so cute! It's not looking much like Spring in MN either--just when it seems Spring's around the corner, we get dumped on with a ton of snow. It has to get nice soon because I've already purchased my dahlia roots--lol! Happy Easter!

  21. If you can force pussy willows to bloom, it seems logical that you could coax spring into being. You've made a valiant attempt with your Easter decor. It's great seeing your Rose quilt again! I hope someone makes a million bucks with those paper circles.

  26. I hope you son is right! We haven't seen any signs of spring here. Your decorating helps keep me smiling! I have to keep my egg collection in baskets. If I laid them out on my sideboard they would roll away! The trials and tribulations of living in an old house! Thanks for the circles link. I cut my own, but it sure would be easier and more precise to use these!
