This year I'm sharing the quilt I made to commemorate Hurricane Sandy exactly 1 year ago today.
"Frankenstorm"
Quilt Stats:
Doll & Mini Cateory
Size 21" x 21"
Storm at Seat pattern - Paper Pieced
Machine Quilted
I quilted it in a spiral pattern, like the hurricane winds.
The backing is a batik and a vintage piece of Peanuts fabric.
You can see how small it is next to the rotary cutter.
You can use this link to the Doll & Mini Quilts cateogry. There are also quick links to all the other categories.
Happy Halloween and enjoy the rest of the quilts in the festival. Thanks Amy!

A perfect pick especially for this time of the year. It really is teeny tiny.
WOW! I recently tired piecing a regular sized variation of the storm at sea block, I can't even imagine tackling this!
vintage piece of Peanuts fabric - that is a new concept, but so RIGHT. Can never find those special fabrics when needed for a 4 year old's quilt. Your quilt is perfect for the time of year and for festival!
wow! what perfect, tiny piecing! It's fabulous! Enjoy the festival :-)
It's a tiny storm-at-seas! OMG, I had enough work doing that as a regular sized quilt. I can't imagine doing piecing at that size! Wonderful work!
Loved your quilt--until you showed the size. Now I think I'm having palpitations just thinking about how teeny tiny that is! Amazing!
That is quite impressive! The result is great, I'm off to vote for it!!
This is such a great quilt!
It's Perfect Barb! The pattern, fabrics, and quilting all fit together so beautifully for this time of year and your hurricane theme. Well Done!!!
What a fun little quilt! Great pattern. I love the way you've arranged the colors diagonally.
I will certainly vote for this quilt! I have loved it from the start! Ever since you made this I have wanted to make a mini Storm at Sea. I think the pattern is buried somewhere in my sewing room now! : )
Storm at sea...so perfect. And I got the quilting right away.I love the fussy cuts too. The back is so cute that it could be reversible.
I have to go look at all the quilts and vote.
That's a year ago already!! It's such a great quilt for Halloween. All those tiny perfectly pieced pieces :0) I love the backing too.
Excellent choice! Love those day of the dead guys, too.
This quilt just amazes me with its teeny tiny piecing and perfect colour placement and awesome itty bitty fussy cutting. Circular quilting to symbolise Sandys ways is so clever. I think fun backings are your signature style, Hallloween Peanuts is just perfect!
I forget how tiny this quilt was! Love the hurricane winds on it and my favorite thing is it's name :0
Happy Halloween!
Loved that quilt when you made it last year and still do! I'm glad your entering, you've got my vote!
Oh my goodness this is a real beauty....I will enter a tiny yo yo quilt I made but yours is just the best pieced mini ever!
Good luck :0)
Happy Sewing
it's been a year . . . time flies~!
this is a really cute little quilt and i love the way that it commemorates the big storm as well as Halloween.
the back is as fun as the front too~!

That's an amazing quilt which must have needed a lot of patience to make.

Great little quilt! Love the changes in colors...and the peanuts backing!
Fab teeny piecing!
love love love it!!
What a fun quilt! I love the backing fabric
Oh Barb - this is gorgeous! Beautiful work and I love how you arranged the colors -- perfect!
I'm always impressed by the unique/interesting/surprising/unexpected/just right backings you find and use for your quilts.
Your Storm at Sea blocks are very impressive, the colors, their placement, the precision sewing, the quilting, and the quilt's name is perfect. It's a very special little quilt, Barb.
I'm glad to see it again.
Holy tiny piecing, Batman!
Love it! I'm a sucker for teeny tiny...
Holy cow, those blocks are TINY! How long did it take you to make this?
Love your storm at sea design.....then I saw how tiny it is!!! Amazing!!!
Everything about this is perfect! Also wow I can not imagine all the small piecing, I would loose a finger or two over it!
Fabulous seasonal doll quilt!
This is just fantastic! I love all your teeny-tiny piecing - and the fussy cutting! Your color movement is perfect. Love that spiral quilting too. A wonderful quilt to mark an awful storm. Love the Peanuts fabric on the back too!
