Rainy Day Monday

And I'm sooo glad!  We have been in a serious draught, and it's lovely to have a rainy day here.

I've gotten out my Memorial Day through Labor Day quilts like this sweet little tumbler quilt-

This table runner which I made from unused blocks from my Lincoln quilt.   I really like the simplicity of this.

I just love this jar of artificial flashing lightening bugs.  They just make me smile.

Here are the treasures I got on my recent visit to an Ohio antique mall.   A cast iron bank of - what else?  A Buck!

He looks very handsome on this little quilt that Susan H. made for me last year.

Here is a lamp that wasn't from the antique mall, but from Rich's family and it just got cleaned up and installed in the front hall.
It is sitting on a beautiful little quilt that I received from Maureen of Pursuit of Quilts in 2012.

I did get this little spool doll bed in Ohio.  I've been cleaning and oiling the wood.  It needs a support and a little mattress and pillow.  I have lots of quilts that will look great on it.

I was cleaning (again....) the sewing room and Starbuck wandered in after a long nap.  He looked this way and that way -

Mr. Crabby Pants.  Ever feel judged by your pets??

Have a great week and thank you everyone for your well wishes for coco she is doing great!

So many sweet little quilts.
I wish I'd been able to get my MD thru LD quilts out before heading east, but it didn't happen. So I guess I have to think of a new name for them, since I didn't have them out by Memorial Day.
Can't wait to see the very sweet little bed all decked out for your dollies. Oh, my goodness. I hope they don't get into a brawl over who gets to use it first! You know how your dolls can be! : )

Judged by my pets???? Yeah...every day!!!! LOL "You're sewing AGAIN" or "You're still working on THAT?" Your little quilts are sweet.. my favorite being the tumbler quilt. I have seen that somewhere else.. and I think I might have to add it to my 'to do' list. :-)

Love your little quilts! Just today I am making a small tumbler flag quilt as well. Though it does look a bit bigger than yours!

I know, my cats are like that too!

I love all your little quilts around. The pix make me want to go play in my studio and make a couple more!

By the way, I love that your bin of scraps or strips is so fragile!

What special little quilts! I just love having quilts all around the house. I didn't get my patriotic quilts out yet either, but we'll be home in about a week, so I will do it then. Cats do seem to have an "attitude" at times. We don't have any now, but have had several over the years. Love your doll bed. I am often tempted to buy old doll beds to fix up, but I don't need any more and am not sure how I could sell them. I might find a way. Don't want to have to box them up to ship from Etsy shop.

I must find some artificial lightning bugs! We don't have them here in the Gulf South, but I loved seeing them on summer nights when we lived in Virginia. I love all your "new" vignettes, but I confess to having a serious case of doll bed envy! I know you will enjoy displaying your little quilts on it.

Love the look of your patriotic quilts decorating your home. I really like your leftover log cabin blocks. Just so classy. Janet O's comment about your dollies made me laugh. I hope they can be civil to one another when it comes to claiming the new bed.

Love that log cabin table runner and the jar of "lightening bugs". I'm enjoying the real thing here at night. They put on an amazing light display. I know that judgement look too well! Glad coco is doing great and continues to do so. Awesome finds at the antique mall!

Haha -- Maybe that's what PaulKitty is trying to tell me by shredding the TP -- he doesn't approve of the sewing mess in the basement -- well, all over the house, really! Love all your fun summer goodies and that you use all your little quilts!

Fabulous patriotic quilts!!! They really look great! I love the spindle doll bed! That sure was a lucky find. I keep my eyes peeled at antique places and have not found one yet. I'll keep looking though!

If I had a pet, he would judge me all the time! My sewing room is always a big mess! I love the buck from Ohio.. He looks great next to the antique lamp. What a great find!

Max gives me the look! He is on a bit of a diet and for a few days the looks were really getting to me. But he has come a long way and can't wait till Dr Hunter weighs him again. Love all your little quilts. Those lightening bugs are too cute!

The jar of lightning bugs.....how creative. When I was growing up in Ohio, we often caught lightning bugs and put them in a jar. We don't have them where we live now. Seeing your jar of pretend ones takes me back in time.

Love the Buck! What fun treasures you have found. Love your quilts for the holidays. The tumbler is sweet. Everything is so pretty.

Love your decorating! That buck?! That jar?! My dog looks more worried about me than judgmental in the sewing room. Can't tell if it's the excess or concern that she'll be buried under it in some sort of fabric avalanche...

Only the cat! Dogs don't judge, but my cat can tell me exactly what she thinks with one look and swish of her tail. She loves to lay on piles of quilts and will stare at me in a most unfriendly manner if I pack them all away. She definitely judges...LOL
