2017 BSQ Quilt Show - Part 2

Hello~
I'm back to share quilts from the Brownstown Guild Challenge:  Home Sweet Home.  The challenge was to create the home of a famous person or a famous home.

Here were some of my favorites~
Here are some others.  They were all so creative and wonderful!  A great challenge theme.
And here are the 5 quilts that entered into 4 categories.  I competed against myself in the pieced/machine quilted category.   The judges were very very generous!
Alice Payne
Snowflower and Secret Fan
Just Keep Swimming
All Cooped Up
Sumptuous Stars
At the end of October my Alice Payne quilt competed as a CT Fair finalist at a banquet.   I won First Place Applique/Hand Quilted.  It was a thrill and honor.
yikes, that is enough bragging already!

I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving.  I have much to be Thankful which includes my friends who read FWB.  Thank you for your friendship, support and encouragement.

House quilts are terrific to begin with, but these quilters went beyond with their creativity in the challenge. Your fabric choices are just wonderful- such fun to see your entries and ribbons. Those OBW quilts are endlessly fascinating to me- but I'm not quite ready to try one. Yours is lovely.

I love the Sumptuous Stars. I think it would make a perfect Christmas quilt of which I have none. I have been looking and looking for something and have collected fabrics. Is it pattern that I can buy? I can't figure it out by looking at it. Is it a Lemoyne Star?
All the other quilts are gorgeous also.

I never tire of seeing your Alice Payne quilt.
The fish print border quilt is a good one. Nice design and I like the fabrics (especialy the fish). The pink ribbon looks so pretty displayed with it.

Congratulations, Barb! Your quilts are lively and varied, all deserving of ribbons. The "home sweet home" theme is great. I especially like "Up" with all the balloons.
