Atlanta~

or Hot-lanta which is what my husband calls it.  I visited the Bullock Hall Quilting Guild and I stayed with my friend, Diane Knott of Butterfly Threads Quilting.  We had a such a good time.

Being an Olympics fan, it was fun to see the Torch in city on the way to Diane's home.
Diane had a beautiful room for  me which was a quiet retreat and so pretty.  Complete with beautiful quilts - of course!
This one was on my bed - so fresh and pretty.
I love Diane's color sense and her use of different blocks.
My room came with treats and snacks.  It was Heaven.  Thank you Diane!  I made best friends with Rumi her new golden puppy.  It was love at first sight (don't tell coco!)
I taught my Liberated Houses Workshop and we had a great day.  So many great ideas and everyone caught right on.
It was wonderful to meet the guild members and get to know them.  What a lovely group of women!
One student, Helga, brought a line drawing she created of her house and was making great progress on a special house quilt. Wow!
After my lecture and a wonderful lunch Diane took me to Thread  Bare Fabrics.  Let's just say, if you want it....they have it......somewhere.
If your guild is meeting in person again, they can find my info at:

For my nature walking friends, Barbara S. and Gladi P. I spotted several Jack in the Pulpits a couple of weeks ago.
I also found this beautiful nest that had fallen out of a tree after a windy storm.  It was so small and sweet.
For  my Foodie friends, near and far I made Polish Stuffed Cabbage and it was fabulous!
Here is the recipe I used:  Grandma's Golumpki  The only changes I made to the recipe was that I used Campbell's Tomato Soup and no water along with the large can crushed tomatoes for the sauce. I did not add lemon zest to the meat.
Dill?  what the heck? no thanks.

I'll be back before you know it.  I actually mean it this time.
Hope you are all staying well and happy.

So glad to see you blogging again. When I don't hear from you I get worried, what with the covid and all. So glad you are out teaching again and seeing friends.

How wonderful that you got to stay with Diane! I enjoyed meeting her when she came to my guild. I am sure everyone enjoyed your class, you are a wonderful teacher. Jack in the Pulpit is one of my most favorite ones to find in the woods.

What fun to be able to spend time with Diane and other quilters. Looks like your class was a great success. No Jack in the Pulpits here so I'm always happy to see one posted. Such a fabulous plant.
