Thanks and Giving to Paradise

I hope my fellow countrymen had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
We did a lot of cooking including 2 pies, 2 cheese balls and cranberries 2 ways.  At the end of the post I am sharing my Honey Mustard recipe.  It is delicious!
I decorated the DR hutch this year featuring my vintage postcards.
and my kitchen windowsill, where I spend a lot of time at the sink.

Giving~

My heart goes out to all those who are suffering in Paradise, CA following the devastating fire. There are many quilty ways to help those in need here are just a few:

You can buy fundraising raffle tickets for this quilt by visiting Lynn's blog. Thank you, Wendy, for sharing this opportunity to help!  A great cause and a gorgeous quilt.
You can join Lori's effort, check her blog post here.

You can help rebuild the quilting community that has lost everything by sending quilt items directly to:
Honey Run Quilters
2418 Cohasset Rd.
Chico, CA 95926

Lap Quilts are being accepted here on the Joy for Grace blog.

I have decided to send them all my destash items from my IG Destash account.  It includes fabric, books, magazines, rulers and thread.  I've also added some UFOs and blocks to help get them going again.
I am thankful for so many things in my life including the pleasure of writing this blog and making so many wonderful friends.

Thank you all~
xo

It was just 3 of us for Thanksgiving, but it was kind of nice. Love to you.

Thank you so much for sharing a link to my blog about the Paradise fire and my raffle. It is incomprehensible to me that my hometown and family home are gone. Luckily our renters got out safely. There are so many people in need.
Take care,
Lynn

Love the chubby pilgrims by the sink and your beautifully decorated hutch. I, too, have some vintage postcards for several holidays. What type of cheeseballs and pies did you make? The fires have been just devastating for so many. Quilters are so good about pitching in.

Your home always looks so festive no matter the holiday. It was just the two of us this year so grilled turkey sandwiches became the meal along with cranberries and of course, pumpkin pie, which we tasted on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday!

Oh yeah, was wondering who the cute turkey quilt pattern is by? It's so familiar but can't place it. Thanks!

Your Thanksgiving decorations look so inviting and your quilt is gorgeous.

Thanks for sharing the ways quilters can help those in Paradise. Here's one more way, by donating a lap-size quilt: https://joyforgrace.blogspot.com/2018/11/quilts-for-paradise-another-way-to-help.html.

I especially love the vintage postcards!
Good idea about sending some UFOs that may give someone a project to dig into.

Thanks for sharing the resources for helping the fire victims. I have been saving some as well. Doing something makes me feel a little less 'helpless'. Your recipe looks delicious. I am going to save it for Christmas when we have ham. And we can make pretzels too! YUM
