Go Clean Your Room!

Thank You Meredith!

I received this give away gift last week and it really made my day!  If you haven't seen her blog, check it out here, she is always working on something wonderful.

It came wrapped in this bubble wrap, which gave me a smile!

On the very first page was the original quilt that my Supercalifragilisticexpialidocous was inspired by.  I've never seen it in color - I was over the moon!!

I have an unusual sewing room, in that it is part of a 3rd floor "in-law suite" that was added to my 1950's split level about 10 years ago.  We have a bedroom, sitting room, large bath and a kitchen up there (no stove hookup, just electrical and water).  I have transformed into a sewing room.  I'll do a more proper tour soon - it's a great way to store everything!

Okay, I've been busy in the sewing room, running in and out, setting things down, looking for things, but Seriously...?

Seriously....!!

This is better -

Seriously, better...

I finished my lamby needle punch this way -
I tried several trims, but in the end used black wool felt to frame it and affixed it to this little (fake) Nantucket basket.  I  used Sobo glue, which can be found at art supply stores.  Its a great fabric glue that dries clear.

I just finger paint it on, and then carefully cut it out after it has dried completely.

Luckily coco was there to guard my tape and glue drawer.

Finally I picked this up in New York City on Saturday while on an outing with my Daughter.  We visited Dylan's Candy Bar, which is a 2 story candy store on the upper east side.  It's sweets heaven!

I hope you have a sweet day!

p.s. anyone else using the new blogger?  Why my spacing doesn't match in the post to my composed article I don't know - darn it!  frustrating!

I want some of that dental floss! Have never seen anything like that.
I am confused about your sewing room. Looks like a kitchen. I think I need to make my kitchen a sewing room. LOL! I am assuming this is not the meal prep kitchen.

What a good girl, getting your room all tidy....now you can mess it up again LOL.

I have the new blogger format on the handpiecing blog but am not having the issues you are. I always post in edit mode so that may be why I don't have issues.

The clean room looks great -- how cool to have a sink and everything right there. And that dental floss -- holy cow -- I might actually floss my teeth more often if I had that LOL!!!

When my sewing room gets messy it means I'm being productive!! But too much is too much then I can't work on anything.
What a cute sewing studio you have!!

What a great win..and so fun to see the inspiration quilt in color. I think you were meant to have that?
I really like the way you placed your needle punch on the basket. The glue seems a great idea to keep the stitches from pulling? Your ferocious guard dog looks so sweet and patient.
Your dental floss looks fun..I would have had to get it too! :)

The Ouija board in yur sewing room...does that help with choosing fabrics for projects?? LOVE IT!!

I love the idea of kitchen cabinets to store fabric and sewing what-nots in...maybe I should stop cooking so that my sewing room can look like YOURS!

Love the new look to your header...some day I sould figure out how to change the look of my blog...I barely got it created, and was thankful I was finished before it crashed!

In stitches,
Teresa :o)

Love your V & A diary and your sewing room sounds wonderful. If you are anything like me though, it won't stay tidy for long!

There is a fine line between creativity and cleanliness - too clean and I am afraid to mess it up but too messy and I am paralyzed by the chaos!

I was wondering about that Ouija board, too! I'm pretty sure it's the first one I've seen in a sewing room picture, but it looks so much like it belongs in there.

I have been browsing online more than three hours today, yet I never found
any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth
enough for me. In my view, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the
internet will be a lot more useful than ever before.
