Last Call

Happy Friday

The berry was re-made, the leaves attached and peace was restored through the land.  This is a block for the Brownstone guild's raffle quilt which I am chairing.  My friends and I have made up 42 applique' block kits and 63 pieced blocks kits.  I'll share more with you when I can.

Here are the last of the show photos.  Let me apologize in advance for the quality of some of them.  When I'm at a show I carry my smaller camera, and it's just not as good.

This was "metamorphosis" and I loved the way the geisha dissolved into the background.

An unusual log cabin setting (blurry).

This one is for Pauline :)

Lovely reproduction fabrics and incredible workmanship.

Love this

I was intrigued by this one.  It was made by someone from Japan, who obviously loves our American pop culture.

Here is another view.

A lovely version of this pattern.  The plaid background is great.

I'm off for a 2 day retreat up the Hudson with a few friends.  I'm planning on working on an old project, a new project and an ongoing project.

Happy sewing this weekend.

Beautiful pictures! That geisha one is spectacular! And I love the sunburst quilting pattern on the log cabin quilt...I did that on one of my daughter's baby quilts YEARS ago and thought that I invented it. HA! Silly me!

I was a quick lurker on your last post and didn't have time to leave a comment, but I have to tell you that I laughed and laughed about Cocoa eating the cherry off your beautiful applique block. My cat Weasley has some bad habits around my quilting stuff...BAD kitty!

In stitches,
Teresa :o)

Have a wonderful time at retreat. I loved seeing the quilt show photos, thanks for sharing them. I do like the cheery block, I always wanted to do a border of cheery sprigs.

Ooooh! I like the New York Beauty one (isn't the applique cool!?!) and the Dear-Jane-like Triangles one -- that is an awesome border treatment!! Looks like it really was a spectacular show, Barb!!
Glad to see the NEW cherry! LOL (Don't want to think about what the lost cherry looks like! :-D) I've got a raffle-quilt in my near future, too. They are challenging to put together, but fun. Enjoy your retreat!
Blessings,
Mary Lou

Those are great quilts! I usually don't get too excited about black and white quilts but I really like that one with the yellow flowers. Lots of inspiration in your pictures!

Wow -- the quilts you've been posting have been beautiful. I LOVE that triangle border with the applique circles. And very happy to hear that the cherries have been restored. And that Coco survived LOL!

The show must be a good size one. Such a variety of styles and so many intriguing quilts to look at. The Geisha quilt is one that catches my eye though not my style. The house quilt is wonderful in those plaids.
